SOOOOooo..This week I tried making a space ship.......again. lol. Jesus this is hard. All I wanted to do is model a fucking cool looking space ship. How hard can that be...well...3 weeks later. I still have a kind of shitty looking ship. BUT. I have learned alot from this. I am having a really hard time keeping my shape workable. I might have to start adding pieces in instead of just extruding a cube into a fucking space ship. It doesn't seem easier to do it that way, but I'm starting to think adding pieces WILL be easier. The issue I have with that is keeping everything uniform. There isn't that many useful applications of snapping which I would prefer. Seeing as there is no real units of measurements other than 1, 2, or 3 blenders long, I only see benefit from robust snapping options when modeling with meshes. Other, simpler 3D modeling tools have much better functionality in this department. I have been seeing that there are some complaints about this in the forums. Unfortunately this model is so broken in so many areas that I can't really work with it any more. But this is about the 10th ship I have made this week so I'm not too attached. Tried to make a detailed thruster of sorts but that sucked too. So I will apply what I learned next week and make something HOPEFULLY not as geometric looking. I like the modern look of this but its still just basic shapes more or less. I'm rendering a 1080p image for upload so this is a 720p ish render. I thumbnailed the yellow version because it shows more of the detail work I put into it, but the hangar version is moodier and I think the better image.
